16th student scientific conference of LPTF Food Institute – ‘TRENDS and INNOVATIONS in the Food Industry”

For several years, the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies (LBTU) has organized a student scientific conference for students in the field of food science, bringing together bachelor’s and master’s students from various higher education institutions in Latvia whose studies and research activities are related to the food sector and nutrition science.

Continuing this tradition, we invite bachelor’s and master’s students from the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Technology and the Food Institute at LBTU to participate in the 16th Student Scientific Conference:

“CURRENT ISSUES and INNOVATIONS in the Food Industry”

The conference provides students with an opportunity to:

• present the results of their research,
• develop scientific presentation skills,
• discuss current challenges and innovations in the food sector,
• exchange ideas and experiences with other young researchers.

Conference Aim

To promote students’ research activities, critical thinking, and scientific communication skills, as well as to encourage discussion on current issues and innovations in the food sector and nutrition science.

Conference Topics

The conference covers various topics related to the food sector and nutrition science, including:

• food product development and innovation,
• food quality and safety,
• nutritional value and nutrition science,
• sustainable solutions in the food system,
• food processing technologies,
• food chain management and quality assurance.

Preparation of the Presentation

The conference presentation must be based on research conducted during studies, such as:

• course research projects,
• course papers,
• bachelor’s theses,
• experimental results from master’s theses.

Presentation format: e-abstract (3-minute Pitch presentation)
